In this newsletter we will look at what is covered by Liability section.
The liability section provides cover for any occurrence which takes place on or about the insured property and it must arise out of the insured’s ownership of the property.
In other words, this is property owner’s liability covering the events relating to the building. Such as malfunctioning gates closing on cars or slip and trip claims. The important aspect to remember, like with all liability claims, the claiming party must prove negligence on the part of the insured.
One of the many new extensions in our policies is our unique Prior Acts Coverage which is provided under the Liability Section, and covers the gap created in cover when moving a Claims Made policy to our Losses Occurring policy.
